So the big thing I have been seeing all around the internet is that the seventeen inch battery can not be replaced by the end user. At first I was surprised and a little annoyed about this direction Apple went. So I went to go look at the rest of the line and was happy to see that you could in fact replace the rest of the line yourself.
To Apples credit I have read that the battery life touted in seventeen inch pro model is to last five years. If this turns out to be true then Apple has really stumbled on to something. That model is also claimed to get an eight hour battery life off a single charge. So even though you can not replace the battery, it should get more than three times the cycles an last half a decade. Not a bad trade-off to not getting to replace a battery.
